Dnepropetrovsk Steel and Iron Factory, Ukraine
For Dnepropetrovsk Steel and Iron Factory (short named DMZP) we have built a replica motor for the replacement of the old broken motor for steel mill drive application. The design and execution of the wound rotor motor was developed in close involvement with the end user.
DMZP, located in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, is an integrated steel mill specializing in the manufacture and sale of pig iron, steel and rolled products. The factory, which is owned by Evraz Group S.A., operates three rolling mills: a medium-section mill 550; a rail and structural steel mill; and a plate mill. Evraz estimates that DMZP is Ukraine's ninth-largest steel producer. Its total annual output in 2007 was 1.8 million tonnes of pig iron and 1.3 million tonnes of crude steel. DMZP's main products include Ibeams, angles, channels, square billets, tube billets, crane and tram rails, sections for automobile rims and agricultural sections.
