Pumping Station Antlia
Pumping station Antlia consisted of two buildings which are very different from construction date. The old building dates from 1926. In 1968 it is extended with a second building. The components of the pumping station were obsolete and needed replacement.
In January 2008 the new Antlia was running for the first time on its own merits. The pumping station has two pumps, each with a capacity of 175 m3 per minute. In total it has a pumping capacity of 350 m3 per minute, that's 21,000 m3 of water per hour.
If both pumps running, they can fill in one hour one pitch to a height of almost 1.3 meters of water. The station works completely automatically. This means that the pumps automatically salute as the water is too high and shut down if the water level is back to normal again.
