Pumping Station Lansingerland
With the opening of the new pumping Lansingerland in Rotterdam the pumping capacity of the polder increased with sixty percent to 760 m3 per minute. Peter Dullaard, manager at the Water Authority of Schieland and Krimpenerwaard is proud of the new built pumping station Lansingerland. "The new pumping station is modern and has an open look. Also technically, this is a very modern pumping station. Thus, the electric motors are very reliable and easy to maintain. They are more profitable than other motors in other stations."
The new station ensures that nearly four thousand acres of land in the polder Bleiswijk remain dry. A trio of electrically driven screw pumps with a combined flow rate of 280 m3 minute enter the water via a 130 meter long discharge over six meters, where the water is discharged in the Rotte.
